A trip to Ikea

Face it, modern decor requires at least one trip to Ikea. So that’s where I was on Day eight.

The Swedish behemoth has everything. Not that I want all of it but there are a good bunch of solid classics sprinkled amongst the cheap fiberboard furniture. I’m particularly partial to the grey brown plant pots, the small dimpled white vases, the cowhides, the pillows and bed linens. Day eight purchases: a wicker footstool and a couple of Ribba frames. I considered a vase and a bench for the window but I’m feeling I may wait on that until my visit to Palm Springs later in the month. Or I may get really ambitious and use my new drill (thanks to Walls) and my newest resource, a place to purchase mid-century modern legs, to build a bench myself!

Yeah right.
