Lessons from the dessert table….
- It’s not over ’til after dessert.
- There’s no such thing as too many choices.
- If it’s good, it will be even better with a little something on it. Like whipped cream. Or drizzled chocolate.
- Everyone needs a little accolade for what they brought. Even if it’s store bought.
- Even if no one made your favorites, you’ll still find something you like.
- A sliver means you can have some of everything.
- If you miss something, more than likely someone will offer you a bite from their plate.
- Some things need coffee to be at their best. Like biscotti.
- Balance rich (chocolate) with tart (lemon).
- Even people who say they don’t like vegetables like pumpkin pie and carrot cake.
- Don’t worry, there’s always more. (And, if you’re looking for the pumpkin cheesecake, check the downstairs refrigerator where some brilliant soul will have hidden a good sized chunk of it.)
- You’re never so full that you can’t squeeze in one more lace cookie.
