You’ve got a list. I know you do. We all do. Places you want to go, things you want to do, skills you want to master. And then your friggin’ life interferes. You’ve got bills to pay, a house to clean, a day job that…well…takes up your day. And before you know it, a whole ‘nother friggin’ year has gone by. So, I’m stopping. Stopping the lists, stopping the thinking about what I’m going to do when I have a million dollars and a million free hours to spend it in, about what I’m going to do when I grow up, when I get to some mythical there that is always just ahead of where I am, some magical misty place that is making here look like just a crowded and stuffy airport on the way to that beachy nirvana. Because it’s all about today. Right now. This minute. The fabulousness of the mundane, the not-so-great, the routine, the dull, the boring, the yeah whatevs, the contemplating your navel hanging out, alone or with your peeps, that is most of what life is. The here that was the there yesterday. I’m going to revel in the beauty in the everyday.
